In Service to the Lord
The main “business” of St. Ann Church is to worship the Lord God as a community, particularly through the Holy Sacraments and the Sacred Liturgy. Lay ministers provide a vital role in the celebration of the Mass and in other liturgical functions.
Altar servers include boys and girls who have made their First Communion. They serve the parish by assisting the priest during Mass. Contact: Casey Peterson at 808-247-3092.
Eucharistic Ministers to the Homebound regularly visit the sick and care homes in the Kaneohe area including Ann Pearl, Aloha Care, Holy Family Care Home and Pohai Nani.
Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist serve our parish by preparing the sanctuary for the celebration of Liturgy and by assisting the priest with the distribution of Eucharist during the Communion Rite.
Tech Ministers are responsible for controlling the lights and sound systems. They enhance our worship by projecting various liturgical images, song lyrics and communal prayers on the sanctuary screens. Interested in becoming a Tech? Text us at 808-235-4051.
Flowers and Decor Ministers prepare for Sunday celebrations by donating and/or arranging flowers in the sanctuary.
Contact: Barbara Honda at 808-247-3092, ext. 115.
Hospitality Ministers serve our parish by welcoming those who gather for worship. They assist
in seating, collections and the presentation of the gifts.
Lectors serve our parish by proclaiming Sacred Scripture
at Mass and at other liturgical celebrations.
Music Ministers serve our parish by enhancing our worship through song and music. They serve as cantors, instrumentalists and choir members.
Environment Ministers volunteer to serve by cleaning the church on Saturday mornings from 7:30 a.m. until about 8 a.m. or for as long as you can stay. We not only spend time cleaning but we have made new friends, share refreshments, and just enjoy each other’s company while we help keep our church clean. Please join us, all are welcome. Our youngest volunteer is 3 years old and our oldest is 84 — so there is a task for everyone. We look forward to meeting you!
